KidsFinance was created to provide quality financial content in a safe, friendly format for your kids to learn and have fun. This Privacy Policy acknowledges the right to online privacy in exchange for a secure, environment to share information and transact business.

Information Collected

KidsFinance requests information from you. It is on a voluntary basis so you or your child can play an ongoing game, receive a prize if offered, fill out a survey, or purchase a product. The information requested may include full name, mailing address, city, state, zip code, telephone and fax number, credit card and expiration date, date of birth, and email address. For certain grade-appropriate games, gender, school grade, and age may also be requested. Posting this information is voluntary, but incomplete information may limit participation in some services. Further the site uses secure socket layer (SSL) transmission of your information to the server where it is safely stored.

* When your child emails us with questions, we will answer but will not save the address for future correspondence.

* When your child enters a contest or submits a photo, he or she will be referenced by name, grade and state only.

The sites we have provided as links are out of our content control, however they have been provided to further financial literacy only.

Based on the information requested, KidsFinance will be able to fill and ship your order, to update and notify game players of standings, winnings and to ship prizes when earned. Unless it’s requested at the initial sign-up, KidsFinance will not disclose your personal information to third parties. It may report summative results, but not individual unless requested and agreed to.

COPPA Compliance

The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 clearly states that children 13 and under must have the offline consent of a parent or guardian when providing personal information.

No personally identifying information should be submitted to, or posted at, the Website by any User under 13 years of age without the consent of such User's parent or guardian.

Either party may terminate this Terms of Use at any time. To terminate, send a written notice to KidsFinance, P.O. Box 241775, Los Angeles, CA 90024; upon receipt by KidsFinance, termination will be effective. KidsFinance will have no obligation to provide notification of termination.

Shop

The Shop Service is available to users who are of legal age in their jurisdiction. You may not use the shopping service if you are under that age unless a parent transacts the purchase. Users must submit information that is accurate, complete, and true. User hereby accepts and agrees that all submitted information is accurate, complete and true at the time. Submitting an order obligates the user to complete the transaction. By using the Shop feature, you agree to be responsible for all tax and costs that arise from using the Shop feature. Although software is used to calculate sales, use and other obligations, it is limited to its accuracy by the data entered by the Merchant. Additionally, tax laws may be a matter of judgment. Therefore, KidsFinance disclaims all responsibility and liability for tax calculations performed by the software.

The use of the web site is at the sole risk of the user. There is no representation that service will be uninterrupted, error-free, nor is merchandise warranted; the web site is provided “as is.” The disclaimers here apply to any damages or injury due to any failure of performance, or error, virus, interruption, or delay in operation. You agree that any action at law arising out of or relating to these terms shall be settled by binding arbitration in accordance with the commercial arbitration rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall be conducted in Los Angeles County, and judgment on the award may be entered into in any state or federal court in California. This constitutes the entire agreement between us relating to the Terms of Use; it shall not be modified except in writing, signed by both parties.
